Privacy policy

This policy explains how Reyava handles personal information. It is written to meet the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who we are and how to contact us

Reyava is a software studio based in Melbourne, VIC. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Reyava.

You can contact us about privacy, or anything in this policy, by email at hello@reyava.com.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to your enquiry. That is:

  • Contact details you give us: your name and email address, and your phone number and company if you choose to add them.
  • Project information: what you tell our concierge about the software you want, the summary of it that builds up as you talk, and anything else you add.
  • Your conversation: the messages between you and the concierge. They are part of the brief we receive if you choose to send it.
  • Technical data: your network address and basic details of your request, used briefly to prevent abuse (see “Where your information is kept”).

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

  • prepare your quote and timeline and reply to you;
  • keep the site and the concierge secure and stop misuse and excessive use;
  • meet our legal obligations.

AI processing

Our concierge is powered by an AI model. What you type is sent to Amazon Bedrock (Amazon Web Services), running a Claude model made by Anthropic, which processes it in Australia to write the replies you see. The AI provider does not store what you send it or use it to train its models. The AI concierge helps you describe your project. It does not make decisions about you and it never sets a price.

Until you choose to send your brief to us, your conversation stays in your browser tab. Closing the tab, or choosing Start over, discards it.

Email delivery

When you choose to send your brief, we deliver it to our team by email using Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon Web Services), in Australia (Sydney). We also send a confirmation copy of your brief to the email address you gave us.

Where your information is kept

We do not keep a database of leads, conversations or contact details. Your brief exists in the email inboxes it was sent to, and nowhere else on our systems.

Our systems do keep a few short-lived technical records, none of which contain your messages, contact details or project information:

  • Counters that enforce usage limits and stop repeat or duplicate submissions. They expire within about a day. They are keyed by a scrambled form of a shortened network address that cannot be linked from one day to the next.
  • Technical logs of how the service is running, kept for 30 days. Network addresses in them are shortened, and they hold no message, contact or project content.

How long we keep emails

We keep the emails we receive for 24 months and then delete them. If you become a client, we keep what we need to deliver and support your work.

Disclosure outside Australia

As described above, AI processing runs in Australia and email delivery in Australia (Sydney). Before our concierge replies, a bot check from Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.) runs in your browser. It receives your network address and browser details so that it can tell people from automated traffic, and it operates outside Australia, including in the United States. Under Australian Privacy Principle 8, we take reasonable steps to make sure overseas providers handle this information in line with the Principles.

Our website is delivered through a global content network, so your request passes through servers near you, which may be outside Australia, on its way to our site.

Cookies and analytics

We use no analytics cookies and no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

We count a few anonymous events, such as a visitor opening the concierge. Each is just the name of the event: it carries no identifier, no page address and nothing you wrote. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we send no events at all.

Your conversation is saved in your browser’s session storage for the life of the tab, so a reload does not lose it. It is cleared when you send your brief or choose Start over.

Access and correction

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@reyava.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email hello@reyava.com and we will look into it and reply. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when how we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
